Watcher in the Mouth

The Watcher in the Mouth is a charm for dreaming by the light of Fomalhaut wrought for the wanderer of dreaming flight. This is a charm for dreamers - or those who would be such - a meeting place where the southern heavens pour their pale fire into the black tides of sleep to be a key for those who seek revelation in sleep and inspiration in the deep waters of the night.

This charm consists of several bundles and ritually worked hagstones. The initial bundle is a full ritual charge for Fomalhaut, made on the 2024 Heliacal Rise of our star, containing plants collected the day of, meteorite, snake bone and skin, and others left unnamed. Additional to this, there is a fist sized hagstone at the bottom of the charm that was washed in river waters and empowered on the same Heliacal Rise. A second charge bundle hangs, holding moonstone, mugwort, datura, white horse hair, snake vertebrae, and a small hagstone that has been fed with Fomalhaut Oil and Oil of the Dreaming. While other materia is contained in these bundles, the remainder will be kept hidden. 

All of this hangs on red cord that was braided on the heliacal rise with Fomalhaut Oil on my hands, with the addition of several snake vertebrae tied to it. The charm itself measures about three feet in adjustable length of braided cord. 

This charm is designed to hang near the bed where you sleep, with room left on the cord for the witch or worker to add feathers found, bones of snakes, and to tie additional charms to its length if desired and as recommended by the instructions given. In practicality, this is a charm to dream by the light of Fomalhaut, to increase dreams and their prophetic nature, to find inspiration in dream, and to increase spirit flight.
