Sirius Talismans

Forged beneath the first nova-bright breath of Sirius’ Heliacal Rise, these talismans bare the tooth of the wolf - an animal of Sirius whose light crowns the heavens. Each tooth was carved with the sigil of Sirius and fed on the day of the Heliacal Rise for my location, until the bone itself drank deeply of the light of our star and took to the course of the work. The teeth were then crowned in hand-cast .999 silver, each cap packed with a portion of Sirius materia - star-fire gathered and brought to powder. A 6mm sapphire cabochon, shining and immaculate as the star’s own blue flame, was set at the front.

To give a nod towards the applications of Sapphire, these notes are given by Claude Lecouteux in his "A Lapidary of Sacred Stones" on the subject of the stone:

“This gem invigorates the body, overpowers envy, vanquishes fear, and ensures that God looks favorably on one’s prayers. It is used to restore peace and elevate thought… It bestows graciousness and victory at assemblies…the prophets even state that God’s throne is made of Sapphire.”

Each talisman measures roughly two inches of carved wolf-tooth, with its silver coronet adding another inch of height. In the images you will not see the carved portion of the wolf teeth as this is on the back side of the tooth, allowing for discrete wear. 

While the carved and fed wolf teeth are more than sufficient as a talisman on their own, the inner charge of the Sirius Talismans consists of Bay laurel berry, Cedar, Cherry wood, Cinnamon, Frankincense, Fulgurite, Juniper, Linden, Goatskin Parchment with the sigil of Sirius, Red coral, Snake Vertebrae, White sage, and hand-harvested Wormwood among a slithering and hissing host of other materia left unnamed. 

These talismans are potent forms of Sirius, ready to be worked anytime that you need to call on the aid of the star; to be worked when you need to command and influence, when you need to be seen in shining beuty and brilliance, to be regarded highest of all, and when you need to get your way. Beyond countless practical applications, the witch may work these talismans in rites of skin-changing, to contact and work with the Shining Summer Court of Others, and to lay petitions at the feet of this Queen whose face is painted in the blood of Mulberries. Beyond all of the potentials listed above, there lies much unsaid about these talismans and their potential. There is a wellspring of light here waiting to be tapped into and I encourage innovation and ingenuity to be your guide. 

Each Talisman arrives on a 20-inch cord with a 1oz bottle of Sirius Oil, a 1/2oz bottle each of Oil of the Antlered Sovereign and Oil of the Verdant Hare, along with detailed instructions and suggestions for use.
