Calling on the commanding power of Blackthorn, bearing the weight of the horse and the flash of lightning, these Spirit-Calling Candlesticks aid the witch or worker in calling spirits and add command and influence to any working at hand. While these candlesticks are geared toward aiding each worker in calling spirits, they also offer command and influence, bolstering any working they are a part of and being capable of influencing people and situations for workings of domination and mastery. These candlesticks also offer much in all works of protection, be it for the protection of a person or place.

The Blackthorn used to create these candlesticks has been cured and stained with a mixture of bone-black, a black pigment produced by burning bone, from the horse vertebrae that was worked for the Night Mare Collection, along with ash of horsehair and bat, before being sealed in polyurethane. A hole was drilled down the center of each Blackthorn piece containing several different powders comprised of various animal, herbal, and mineral materia, some of which include: 

Bat: An offering to one of the spirits that presides over the collection, the bat included in the Night Mare Collection was stuffed with herbs chosen by the spirit and several coins before being reduced to ash at the base of an Evergreen on a dark moon. 

Toad: An homage to the Toad-Hag beneath the Blackthorn, offering the powers of influence

Fulgurite: For command and power, to call spirits in. 

Mandragora officinarum: For commanding power over spirits

Blacksmiths Anvil Dust: For command, influence, and mastery

Master of the Woods: For command, influence, and mastery

Over 50 other powdered ingredients are packed into each of these candlesticks, ranging from powders designed to rake and till things up, calling to the spirits we seek, powdered materia of command, influence, and mastery, that which grabs and goads, and powders of protection. 

Beyond this, each candlestick also has a ring carved into it, which has had powders of command, influence, and mastery rubbed into them and then painted over with cinnabar, a mercurial mineral, that was sealed over with additional layers of polyurethane. 

These candlesticks work through burning candles in them, creating a flame imbued with the magic of the holders. While workings with these candlesticks can be as simple as burning a candle in them, several methods for tailoring these workings through the use of additional materia is provided. 

Each candlestick stands at roughly 12.5 inches tall and is constructed with solid metal bird feet, a 5.5-inch length of Blackthorn wood, and a solid metal detailed taper candle holder affixed at the top. 

Each candlestick arrives with a bottle of Night Mare Oil and instructions and suggestions for working.
