Oil of the Lamp of the Witches

Lamp of the Witches is an oil for the encouragement of spirit sight and to improve the ability to hear and to see in all sessions of divination. An oil of swirling clarity and screaming voice, Oil of the Lamp of the Witches was birthed during the 2025 Heliacal Rise of the Pleiades for my location, with the Pleiades being well known for their capability to aid and improve all matters of spirit sight and communication. Oil of the Lamp of Witches is of aid and benefit to all diviners, all who would see their spirit-communication improve, and all who would see truly. Beyond improving spirit communication and divination, the oil can be worked with in daily life when you need to be more perceptive, to notice those things that would normally go unnoticed, and to see through the plans and intentions of others.

At the heart of Lamp of the Witches sits a quartz egg that was fed, through the bounds of tradition, with the blood of a bird that was offered to the Pleiades the morning of their rise, a stone filled with their light set to work through the eye and hand of the witch. Along with this stone, many items known to be aligned both with the Pleiades and the improvement of spirit communication can be found swimming in the oil: Fennel - holder of the stolen flame; Mugwort - Green Mother of all plants known for your prowess in provoking clairvoyance; Dittany - a door through which many mouths come to speak; and Yarrow - a plant utilized in divination for millenia. Seven Moonstones - a piece of the moons light, one for each of the seven sisters that are the Pleiades; Snake bone powdered Mandragora officinarum; Meteorite and Moldavite - the light of the Other brought to physical form; Carnelian and Red Coral - stones of antivenom to protect against false prophecy; Amethyst - to promote clarity of vision and voice; various feet and feather to allow that which would speak to come; all of these and others all swim in the light of the Pleiades, captured through traditional ascriptions, and set to form and function for the benefit of those who would work with it.
