Oil of the Black King

A liquid emanation dispensed at the feet of the Silk-King, Larval Lord - Eye of the Black Sun Rising, Wellspring of the Blood and Power of Anon. Oil of the Black King is a spider’s-nest of possibility seized at the root and made manifest, a cavalier-brand of enormous power, torches shivering before a room of gunpowder and Regents set to charge a kingdom. The oil itself is a battery ultimately, a storehouse of extreme strength set in oil, guided by the blackened grace of the Black King, to be both practical and workable, as well as a lender of dynamite potency to magical works simply by its ownership and presence.

The Oil is centered around fragments of citrine found on a mountainside while making a pilgrimage to a mountain top that lay within the range of totality of the 2017 Solar Eclipse that swept through the United States in late summer. The stones were ritually worked and charged during the entirety of the eclipse, while bathing naturally in the torrential rain that fell during the minutes of totality. These stones have been ordinarily kept for Haus of Ophidious’s own private work, yet are here being included - for likely the only time. This oil will not be duplicated and only seven bottles were allowed to be taken from the Mother Bottle, six being offered here and the seventh arriving as a companion to the Charm of the Black King which offers the strongest form of this work. 

These stones sit at the heart of the Mother Bottle, nestled in a heart charge by over 60 other potent ingredients ranging across animal furs, skins, bones and dried organs, some of Haus of Ophidious’s more precious and rarely used or offered dirts, a wide array of stones, various plant parts, and needle and thread treated with a number of Haus of Ophidious oils. This teeming bundle swims amongst over 140 plants and trees, ashes of appropriate animals of land and sky, Mandragora officinarum root and leaf, and other allies left unnamed. 

Each 30ml glass bottle appropriately contains yellow jade, and is beaded with matte onyx, carnelian, and yellow jade. Information regarding the Oil of the Black King will be provided on a cloth scroll detailing the varied methods of use, both those directly interactive with the spirit swimming within the oleum, and the more ambient power-generator methods. Upon purchase, each bottle will be officially ‘woken up’ and set to attention in the name of its new owner before being shipped.
