Children of Algol

Children of the writhing Mother, light harnessed and set in steel, poised and ready with sharpened fangs dripping in the venom of their Mother. The Children of Algol serve these functions: To draw the virtues of Algol to a space by staking them into the ground, for impaling dolls and effigies, for calling on Algol in any working, for rites of malefica, for extreme protection and the breaking of curses, for the removal of the evil eye, and for freezing people or situations through staking, among other uses left to the ingenuity of each worker. Only fourteen Children of Algol are available.

The Children of Algol are fetiche objects of our star, the light of Algol captured and set in steel, capable of acting as a talisman and beacon to the virtues of Algol to be employed in all workings that require the light of the Mother. While the photos show a full serpent, each will arrive with its eyes bound in cloth that has been fixed with oils of Algol, only to be removed during the provided Rites of Welcoming by their new caretaker. 

In practicality, the Children of Algol are living talismans of our star, fetiche object that hold the captured light of the Mother, capable of being worked with in any working deemed fitting by their caretaker. They act each as a type of familiar born of the light harnessed. In ritual, they can be staked into the ground to bring Algol to any working space for the forging of pacts or to set her eyes upon any target; to stab ritual objects and effigies to inflict curses or to stab effigies of the evil eye; to bring extreme protection to a person or place, and for the general sending of extreme malefica. The potential of these serpents is vast, and will be known fully only to those who care for them. Some of the most extensive ritual suggestions and instructions that I have ever written are provided with each. 

The Children of Algol were brought to form in flame on the night before the Heliacal Rise, and at dawn they received the same ritual feeding that was given to the diamonds utilized in the Algol Oil. Beyond this, each serpent has a charge built in beeswax from my beehives wrapped around it that contains diamond, black hellebore, wormwood, snake vertebrae, rattlesnake skin with the glyph of Algol inscribed on it brought to ash, ash of a fire lit for Algol, bird feather and bone reduced to ash, Hellebore leaf that was collected during the height of the Fall 2021 Moon conjunct Algol lunar eclipse during totality, myrrh, snake root, and others left unnamed. All of this materia is embedded into the wax that is wrapped around the serpent; the wax was then sealed in place with the reddened skin of a snake, and capped on each end of the genuine snake leather with black cord. 

These serpents were created in collaboration with M.A. Forge - the blacksmithing project of a close friend who wishes to remain out of public view. Each Child of Algol measures between 10 and 15 inches in length. Additionally, just as no snake coils the same, no single Child of Algol is the same. At the time of purchase, divination will be performed to see which of the 14 choose to be sent into your care. 

As a special addition available only to those who take on the care of one of these serpents, a special oil made beneath the light of Algol will be sent with each for the feeding of these fetiche objects. This oil will not be elaborated on publicly, nor will it be available for general sale. 

Each of the Children of Algol arrive with a bottle of Algol Oil and detailed instructions and ritual write-ups for working with them in various capacities past the Rite of Welcoming.
