A Fly to Honey Oil

Here, Venus is sweet and sticky with the thick of honey, catching flies as She catches our desires, a huntress on bird’s wings set to stalk the pink dream of desire and need with unmatched prowess to grab and charm all that you might desire. This is Venus as Queen of Love and War - an oft unexplored facet of our lady, the second of Haus’ planetary pentacle oils, A Fly to Honey is a synthesis of the 4th Pentacle of Venus and one of Heinrich Cornelius Agrippas Exalted Venus images for the attraction and grasping of all that you want in life, be it person or object, and for the grasping of success through sweetened manipulation and charm. 

The Fourth Pentacle of Venus is from the Key of Solomon (Clavicula Salomonis), which says that the pentacle “is of great power, since it compels the Spirits of Venus to obey, and to force on the instant any person thou wishest to come unto thee”. Beyond being capable of swiftly attracting anyone that you desire, this oil pushes the boundary further to gear the pentacle to working not just on people, but on grasping and attracting anything that you might desire. This is further bolstered by playing on one of Agrippas talismanic Exalted Venus images which reads:

"From the operations of Venus they made an Image, which was available for favor, and benevolence, at the very hour it ascending into Pisces, the form of which was the Image of a woman having the head of a bird, and feet of an Eagle, holding a dart in her hand".

A synthesis and blending of the image and the pentacle, A Fly to Honey is an oil of attraction, charm, and sweetened manipulation for all those who would grasp the powers of the Queen of Love and War and turn Her darts to aim at their own desires. In building the body of the image in oil form I started with a heart-charge, a bundle made in snake leather, filled with Rose Quartz and Red Coral that was offered a dove and worked during a prominent Venus election. Sitting with these pulsing stones are Mandragora officinarum and Datura wrightii roots, Emerald and Topaz, private Attraction and Venus Powders, Exalted Venus Powder, Civet, and the talons and feathers of a bird appropriate to the hunting and warlike natures of Venus. Beyond this, the leather is marked using a mixture of honey and the blood of the dove that was offered to Venus; the honey mixture itself was allowed to sit in a working space, all to bring in and catch flies, just as we seek to capture our desires, over a period of 7 days accompanied by prayer and the addition of flame. This body that was built was then stuffed with the ashes of the 4th Pentacle of Venus inscribed on goatskin parchment with ink that was mixed with the same honey mixture. The bundle was then sealed with genuine sinew thread and interred inside of the mother bottle.

Once the heart-charge had been made, the oil was given Exalted Venus Powder, Master of the Woods, Victory-wood, Cherry wood, white horse hair, Agrimony seed, python skin, Madder root, Devils Claw seed pod hooks, Queen Elizabeth root, Queen of the Meadow, and other plants and trees known for success, attraction, glamour and compulsion, and warlike prowess. Even further, not forgetting that the image of Venus depicts Her with a dart as a hunting weapon, a dart was carved out of Lilac wood - a tree of bewitchment and glamour - and given to the mother bottle to be that which might hunt and pierce our desires. 

A Fly to Honey contains amounts of genuine Agarwood oil and Musk and is therefore scented lightly with this rich fragrance, with the Agarwood and Musk being each potent allies of attraction, allure, and glamour. 

Each bottle of oil arrives with detailed suggestions and instructions for use along with further musings on the virtues of Venus as Queen of War. As this is a limited oil, only 7 one ounce bottles and 14 half ounce bottles are available.
