Blackthorn Protection Powder is based in Scottish Blackthorn Salt, which is salt that has been collected by allowing seawater to trickle and dry in a tower made of Blackthorn branches and thorns on the west coast of Scotland. This powder is extremely protective and exorcising, mirroring the protective nature of Blackthorn hedges with their sharp thorns that offer protection to the creatures that burrow themselves beneath the hedgerow or find shelter in the thickets of thorns. The Blackthorn Protection Powder was ritually worked and mixed with Blackthorn wood, thorns, and sloes (Blackthorn fruits), Black Walnut, Devils Claw, Mandrake, and iron filings among other materia.
