Candles

The wax is the body of this work, whether pre-made or hand-poured with Haus of Ophidious' made-in-house blend of wax containing: Beeswax from a forest apiary, Soy and Coconut wax, and Coconut oil. The wax is fed, filled, and fixed with oils, powders, and other materia dictated by recipe or spirit to act as an aid to a working or the work itself, and given life through flame so that it may work in a given way. Candles can be utilized as forces of protection or uncrossing, as attractors of money, love, or fortune, as the flame we use to burn materia in workings, as offerings to gods or spirits, or as the token of a working itself through which we affect person, place, or thing. It is through the lighting of a candle that we may change and affect the atmosphere of a room, and thereby those within it, to a particular end be it for the attraction of customers, for the maneuvering of socio-political situations, for the stifling or riling of lusts, and myriad other means and ends found within the wit of the worker.
